Lower Arent Valley

Lower Arent Valley is a Terrain, located in Perantsa.

Below the dam, the Lower Arent Valley opens into a broad ribbon of fertile ground.

The valley cuts between dark hills on one side and dry uplands on the other. The river slows and meanders here, with lines of poplars marking old flood channels.

Irrigation canals fan out into patchwork fields of barley, root vegetables, and oilseeds.

Farm tracks, a single rail line, and the valley highway follow the water, making the Lower Arent the main overland corridor between Peran and Harand.

In the mornings the valley often lies under low mist while the hills glow in early sun, giving the area a quiet, self-contained feel even though freight trains and buses pass through all day.
